Oklahoma Public Records

The Oklahoma State Records mission is to provide every person the right to detect, obtain, preview and examine public records, ensuring residents of the state of Oklahoma are provided access in accordance with the Oklahoma Open Records Law, which rules in favor of public access to state records: Oklahoma Open Records Act.

The main goal is to enable all members of the general public the right to access Oklahoma state public records easily, efficiently and concisely, without the requester having to specify a “need to know,” unless the legislature has expressively stated otherwise.

Oklahoma State Records provides information about the following subjects: Criminal Records, Court Records, Vital Records and State Background Checks, including the number of over 35 million public records.

The search functionality granted in this portal enables the information requested to be presented immediately and accurately. Oklahoma public records have been gathered since the year of 1889 and include the information from 77 counties, thereby ensuring Oklahoma abides by the commitment of the United States of America to remain a “fair and just” society for all.
